Rockstar Drops Hints and Justifies Actions

The most recent edition of Rockstar’s “Asked and Answered” has revealed a myriad of goodies about Rockstar’s plans and ideas.

Here is a break down of what was said:

1. Rockstar is happy with the response to the “first person experience” in GTA 5 and may provide this feature in future games

2. The “first person experience” will never be a reality for the 360/PS3 versions of GTA 5

3. GTA Online heists are coming, it was just a much larger task then Rockstar anticipated, and will be available for all the versions of GTA

4. Rockstar is committed to the last generation players, but there will come a time when GTA can no longer be updated on the pervious systems

5. Rockstar hinted that sequels for Red Dead Redemption, Bully and L.A. Noire are probable

6. GTA 5 for the PC is in its final stages of development, and you will be able to transfer your progress from any version of GTA 5 to the PC

7. Rockstar justified microtransactions in GTA Online, stating:

“The reason we included optional in-game currency in Grand Theft Auto Online, rather than directly selling DLC, was because it was the only way that we could distribute DLC without dividing the player base each time we brought out a new content pack, which would destroy the online community very quickly by splitting players up. Thanks to Shark Cards, we have been able to give away every piece of DLC so far for free in order to keep the community whole and give people options as to whether they want to earn new content by playing the game, buy new content with Shark Cards or simply don’t get new content and still keep playing the game.

 

Star Wars Episode 7: Teaser Trailer

Unless you have been stuck underneath one of Jabba the Hutt’s fat folds for the last month, you have probably seen the teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens.

I am just going to come out and say it, I really liked it. As I watched the trailer one thought continued to scream out, “Please be good, Please be good!”

In the end, I am very satisfied with the trailer and I hope that we get to see a few more glimpses of the practical effects before the film debuts.

GTA 5: Xbox One and PS4 Trailer

Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014 with the PC version to follow January 27, 2015.

Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever. In addition to increased draw distances and higher resolution, players can expect a range of additions and improvements including:

– New weapons, vehicles and activities
– Additional wildlife
– Denser traffic
– New foliage system
– Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more

Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will also feature enhanced radio selections with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations.

Assassin’s Creed Unity and Rogue Delayed

According to the Ubisoft blog, Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been delayed by two weeks and will now release on November 11th in the US and November 13th in EMEA areas.

 

According to the post:

“As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional,” says Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft. “We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”

This delay causes AC: Unity and AC: Rogue to have the same release day, and Ubisoft has decided to delay AC: Rogue by two days to November 13th.
